GuitarViol: The Film composer's secret weapon

A documentary currently in production!

The upcoming documentary entitled “GuitarViol: the film composer’s secret weapon”. The plan is a full feature 90 minute documentary that tells the story of the instrument and the composers who use them daily in their work. We have a great team: Terry Davis (all things cameras and on site lighting). Terry is a friend since the 90’s with a long time TV camera/editing career, who has worked with the likes of some of my favorite Windham Hill artists. Then there is Dale Turner (also a GV owner) who is taking the pressure off of me and essentially connecting the dot’s (organizing, interviewing). Dale was a long time editor at Guitar World Magazine, teaches at Musicians Institute, and in more recent years, involved with film/TV music. We are initially starting with the early adopter composers of the 2000’s who have made a huge footprint with the instrument! “In the can” already: Kevin Kiner (see promo reel) and soon to come, in 2023, Loga Torkian, Heitor Pereria, Gary Lionelli, Jeff Cardoni, and others! Tyler Bates perhaps? Try and fit this into a 90 minute documentary, I dare ya! So many! Stay tuned! Build as it flies!
