Video: Jesus Florido aka “the Latin Fiddler” gives the ViolGlide fingerboard (TogaMan tech) a first time ever test!
Some of you may be aware The beyond the core item item been making for the last 22 years (GuitarViol) is the potential to trasfer The problem solving technology from the GuitarViol to other contemporary string instruments. For many years I’ve been a fan of Mark Woods Viper 7 violin. And since I’ve made the ViolGlide fingerboards for GuitarViols successfully, I thought it would be fun to upgrade a Viper 7 as a jumping off point to what would become A completely different model in the future! (of course owners of Viper 7 violins could benefit from the mod/upgrade!) The benefits of the ViolGlide include A geometrically optimized playing surface with stopping points (frets) that are not made of metal (which chew up violin strings for lunch!) Not only will the playing performance lubricity inspire more confidence (and more notes!). String life will also be significantly and extended. Plus it just looks really cool!
To be clear, The ones in these pictures are of a MARK WOOD Viper 7 Violin (I did not build) and the fingerboard upgrade by yours truly! We’re giving at the test! If any owners of a Viper 7, reach out if you’re interested in the possibility of a mod/upgrade!
For those of you perhaps interested in Project TogaPhiddle (TogaMan design Violin/Violas with TogaMan 10x tech), reach out! Broadening the reach!
